London 14.11.95

First European date of his Outside tour and four nights sold out in London and being recorded for the BBC as well. Despite reviews from the US shows making it clear that this was a set based almost completely on his new album there were still plenty of people moaning about why he hadn’t done ‘Young Americans’ or ‘Ziggy Stardust’. This was my first time at Wembley Arena and I wasn’t impressed; we had to hire some binoculars just to see him.

Morrissey was supposed to be the support act on the whole tour but he had some disagreement and walked out. Apparently he did play some of the shows but I didn’t see him at any of the four shows I went to. It is a pity that Bowie didn’t bring the NIN show to Europe.
