My first ever David Bowie show and it was in the glamorous surroundings of an agricultural showground in the Midlands. I went down on the train from Manchester and it was full of Bowie fans. I was used to seeing punk bands play in clubs in those days so I had never seen so many people in one place. Inside it was really easy to get a good view at the front and there were refreshments from ice-cream vans so loads of people eating ice lollies.
